Before I forget...

Many thanks to Rosem for taking pictures of my traditional pieces. Woulda messed up big time if done by self. Failed miserably with just the drawings and just gave up on the 3D stuff. Photographer peoples are made of awesomesauce. Her site is http://flashhappy.tumblr.com/ and her pictures are full of life and fun!

Concept Render

Ended up playing on the PP forums again. Wanted to do a scene but didn't have the time to come up with an original concept and so went with the portrait background contest. This is the final image. Might tweak it to make it better in the future.

Fabrication Test

Decided to delve into Rapid Prototyping a couple of months ago and this piece came out of it. It's nothing fancy, just a test of how much detail Stratasys machines can take and just wanting to see how something done in a simulated 3D environment translates into something tactile.

This turned out well although I wish I had more time to make a more solid design since the process is still pretty expensive. The pieces were printed out in plastic using the Fused Deposition Method. I'm hoping I can get into making stainless steel prints although in a smaller scale soon and see how far this technique can be pushed. Fun stuff! :D

Welp, that's the start.
